- Ramshorn and Snails

Step 1 – Setting up the tank
Take a 2 gallon tank and fill it half with water from the main tank and then top it off with new water. Add nylon spawning mops to one corner of the tank. You can also add Java moss. No special heating or lighting is needed.
Step 2 – Introducing the fishes
Add the female fish around evening time and let it remain in the tank undisturbed and introduce the male before you put off the lights.
Step 3 – Spawning
Before the first day light around 50 eggs will be laid.
Step 4 – Move the parents
Remove the adults from the tank as they will end up eating the eggs because of their hunger.
Step 5 – Eggs and Young fries
The eggs will hatch in a couple of days. The young ones attach themselves to the mops of the glass. After a few days, they will start swimming on their own
Step 6 – Feeding the fries
Feed the young ones with micro worms twice a day. Since they stay at the bottom of the tank feed them with foods that will sink to the bottom

Remove the spawning media and add ramshorn or snails to eat up the left-over food. Do some minor water changes by making use of water from the adult fish tank.
